Are artists mad or have they found the ultimate method in their madness. Not only
was the great
Michelangelo bipolar, but the wonderful impressionist painters - Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin. The English landscape artist, J.M.W. Turner. The 20th century abstract expressionists painters,Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko were both bipolar.
The most famous woman painter of the 20th century, Georgia Okeefe was diagnosed as bipolar.
So maybe their is a fine line between genius and madness.
